Incense
Yame in Fukuoka is known for producing cedar-leaf powder. At its peak, more than 40 watermills were producing these natural ingredients for incense makers in Japan. Baba Watermill was built in 1918.
For over a century, it has been grinding top-quality cedar-leaf powder. Baba Watermill Incense was born from this 100-year-old watermill, with Mr. Takeshi Baba's relentless effort in hand-crafting his all-natural incense.
Baba Watermill Incense are 100% natural, made with only 2 ingredients: Japanese cedar-leaf powder and tabunoki powder (a plant powder as the binding agent). They are kneaded with water, casted and dried to become incense sticks, all crafted by Mr. Takeshi Baba and his wife Chieko.
Through this incense, you can experience the richness of Yame's nature, the home of Japanese incense.
